MG Epyon

From Gundam Guy

ALMOST looks like some Ver.KA stylings here.  Never been a big Epyon fan but there is no question that the the suit is cool.  Maybe this is the model that will finally turn me on to it?

After the disappointment I felt with the "supposedly" Ver.KA PG Strike Freedom I'm going to hold off on this.  But... I know a LOT of people are going to be happy about this news regardless of how good the model is.  Epyon on principle.  I should too.  Melee God.  I have the MG Infinite Justice and Exia...  I think I'd need this to finish off the collection of "Top 3 Melee Combat MS".

What do you think?  Epyon for best melee suit?  Who's excited about this model?

  1. It's true. I been waiting for this but I would reallly love if they get the Tallgeese out heck they can trow out a Ver. Ka Tallgeese as well. I might get both

  2. No need to tell you how I feel about this. I'm sure you can already guess -_^

  3. Katoki seem to only make small changes to a kit (and not necessarily a good thing - except decals) and slap a Ver Ka label there.
Not a fan of Epyon, but as usual, I'll get carried on by the hype and see how things turn out.

  4. If Epyon is here then Tallgeese isn't far behind. A Ver Ka Epyon wouldn't surprise me (frame/ mold reuse), and they ARE going to make Tallgeese MG cause, well that's three possible kits for the production cost of one.. add two extra heads, a mega beam cannon, heatrod/ shield and some minor additional armor... Easy money meets Tallgeese fan's delight.

  5. As played in Gundam Musou this suit is a melee BEAST.

  6. The Ver.Ka. kits are labeled thus because Hajime Katoki is responsible for the kit all the way from from the drawing board concept sketches to the final product. Every detail, every bit of engineering, all the way to the decal design and placement is all Katoki, as opposed kits that take his design and have them engineered by someone else from Bandai's payroll (i.e. MG Deathscythe Ver. EW).

The Epoyons shown here does look a bit like Katoki's handiwork, but so long as he didn't engineer the thing (likely, if it uses the standard Wing inner frame), it'll probably be as solid a kit as the newest MG Wing.

Is it worth a buy? Based on the current MG Wing releases as reference?

    Hell yeah.

I'd place it's price somewhere in the range of the MG Wing or Deathsycthe EW. As for release date - whenever it is, it'll be worth the wait. Hopefully, a MG Tallgeese will follow soon enough!

  7. I predicted this MG (as well as the Wing), since it was rather obvious with the 15th year anniversary of the series. They should definitely release a Tallgeese. I suppose they'll release either the HA or the SR first then the TG, and it may be anytime this year.

And I agree, the Epyon is more than a welcome relief after the disappointing PG SF.
