Considering that the PG didn't impress me much with all the new technology it had, this isn't doing much for me either. Never really liked this suit. The stock 00 by itself isn't bad but... Not really feeling any of the upgrades (outside of the 7 Swords). The 1/144 00 ANA Gundam I have is enough for me.
Opinions? Who wants this?
I'm beginning to wonder if anyone realizes this "MG" 00 Raiser has some proportion issues. Chest and head seems a bit bigger then the rest of the body.

Ooh, ooh, me me!! Since I don't normally buy Perfect Grade3s, a MG of the 00 Raiser would be great!
ReplyDeleteYeah, I thought the concept behind it was a bit retarded at first - putting the very sources of power of a mobile suit exposed on the shoulders where they'd be easy targets...BRILLIANT!
But the design has grown on me, and if the 00 Quan[T] is any indication of how articulate the 00 Raiser will be (since it will likely share the same inner frame), it's a must-get for me.
The 0 Raiser is and shall always be kibble - it's cool-looking kibble, but kibble nonetheless. It has a definite function in the anime, but on a kit, it's just nothing but dead weight. However, should this MG kit come with all the equipment it's PG big brother has, I would definitely get it.
And I would probably grab a Seven Sword variant as well - since none of it's equipment is kibble.
00 Gundam had to grow on me, when I finally finished 00's second season I became a fan after not particularly liking it's design so I had to see it in action more to like it so I'll probably pick this kit up.

ReplyDeleteMG Epyon is a def pre-order for me. a little on the fence about the 00 Raiser. I have the 1/100 NG Exia and will have the MG Exia built soon. using those two as a comparison will help me determine if the MG 00 Raiser is warranted of if the collector in me can settle for the 1/100 NG. The designer version with the light up head unit and GN Drives looks cool, and I like the designer colors better than the original... if I do get the MG, I might need some designer decals and to do some painting.
ReplyDeleteNever been a huge fan of any of Setsuna's units, always preferred Lockons! I did find a new found respect for 00 as I built the 1/144 but I think that's enough for me.
ReplyDeleteThe GN Sword III is lovely and all but I will have to see just how much that "dead weight" Skygrasper on its back will drag it down.

I already pre-ordered it. I didnt like rhe design before but this kit made it grow on me
