From MG Infinite Justice Sorry formatting is a bit sloppy. I'll do better next time! |
Here are my notes from the Picasa page.
1. I decided to use my trusty mirror tape for the lense work. took a bit of cutting and shaping but i eventually got it the way i wanted.
3.i originally tried to paint the tape but it caused it to loose its adhesiveness so i just decided to paint clear green on the lens instead. the stickers that come with the kit are opaque sky blue. unacceptable.
4. little bit of lining work. ive decided to make a dedicated sumi-ire paint jar... which basically means i've pre-made dilluted black enamel paint specially for panel lining purposes. hopefully this will make the process a bit easier for me.
5. painted titanium gold
6. i also had to paint the inside edges of the helmet black so that no pink shows through. had to do this with the sinanju as well.
7.hand painted flat aluminum. you'll barely be able to see this when the head is assembled but i had to paint it on principle. i was hoping for a bit more POP but i'm not sure what i have that will do the job.
THis is comming from a nubie, but why didnt you just paint the clear with silverpaint and paint it over with a clear green...
ReplyDeleteI need more commentary! Now that I see the shape of the face up close, I really like it.
ReplyDeletegunstay. yes that would work actually but i wanted more a reflection. i could only get that from mirrored tape but your idea is good! decided to just keep it clear this time though.
ReplyDeletegaigun - yeah me too. thats actually the reason why i went with the green scheme. added the commentary!
Looking good there.. titanium color look nice~.. the lining part.. so next time u going to panel wash? :D...
ReplyDeleteyeah panel wash is coming!
ReplyDeletei think chrome is the way to go. i need some harder metallics!
