Gundam 00 'A Wakening Of The Trailblazer' - Full Movie Video
I haven't watched the whole movie but I did confirm that the link was good and that the file/video wasn't crap. Decently quality, no subs. Under 400 mb if you decide to download it to your computer.
Take a look while it's still up!

GN-X Gundam
To be honest I'm really surprised that no one has mentioned this yet on all of the Gundam blogs that I follow. I was going to post about this immediately but figured someone else would beat me to it and save me the trouble. I was wrong. No one talked about.
Personally I think this was one of the best things to come out of this months Hobby Japan. I think this thing is insane! I love it! I like the GN-X design in general (all of them) but this one takes the cake by far in my opinion.
I like the thicker legs with the GN-X feet and I like the addition of the Gundam head as well. The level of detail and creativity in this kit is truly awe inspiring! We should all take notes! So do yourself a favour and check out the other pics of this masterpiece at my flickr. You'll have a better appreciation of plamo because of it, I'm sure.

GNX-704T/AC Mr. Bushido's Ahead
While not exactly cutting edge news, that's my two cents on this piece of junk.

SVMS-010 Over Flag High Maneuver Package - Details
Here are the supplementary images to my SVMS-010 Over Flag High Maneuver Package post in October. These scans show and explain how the modeller created this piece of art. Extra image can be seen here.

GN-0000 00 Gundam
Title suit spread from this months Dengeki Hobby. I kind of like this shot because all of the weapons have been taken off. Just the base suit. This model has been modded a bit but only minor ones. The legs have been extended a touch but outside of that nothing too intense has been done.
GN-XXX Gundam Rasiel + GN Sefer - Poster
The poster from this month's Dengeki Hobby. Really beautiful. Rasiel Gundam and GN Sefer are prototypes for 00 Gundam and 0 Raiser respectively. Kinda makes you wonder what it'd be like if 00 Gundam went into battle with an army of 0-Raisers behind it. This one is going up on the wall too.

GN-006 Cherudim Gundam
This kit sold amazingly well. I was really shocked because I didn't expect it to be that popular. I think it sold out on the day of it's release because there were only a few left when I got there and I think that was the day it was released. Anyway here's a scan from this months Hobby Japan. I didn't go for the front page spread because I wanted to show a mix of things; the modding, the weapons, the colour changes and some of the poses. I had a chance to play with this at the Gundam Bar a couple of days ago and I liked it. I certainly like it more than Dynames but... still it's not really my thing. Arios on the other hand... That looks really sweet. I love it's head! But more on that later.

SVMS-010 Over Flag High Maneuver Package
Definitely starting here. I loved the Flag, loved the Custom Flag, loved the Over Flag, the GN Flag was sweet and NOW we get this! The High Maneuver Package is just a conversation so it’s a totally custom job but doesn’t it look sweet? It would be awesome if there was a resin or upgrade kit for this somewhere. But there’s a lot more going on here than just the backpack. The lower legs and arms have been beefed up a bit. More details have been added along with some extra decals. Kits used to make this were FG Kyrios, Collection Series Destiny Gundam, HG Sandrock and HG Blaze Zaku Phantom. Intentionally over-sized scan so you can see the details. More on this kit to come.

GN-X III - Seam lines and sanding
I've decided that I'm going to prime it. I forgot that priming is also useful for when you want to test the surface to see if the paint's going to go on evenly. I did that with my G04, found that my putty job was sub par after priming and did it again.

HG 1/144 - GN-X III 609-T A-Laws Type
This is about as modern as it gets. They just showed the suit for the first time last week.
So I bought it and realized that I get a 30% discount plus 10% points on my card and a free DVD that I didn't even realize I had until I got home and emptied the bag. As I was leaving I was thinking of what colour to paint it. Going down the escalator I looked at my tie and thought... yes... that's it. Metallic Purple! Go back up to the paint section... no metallic purple. Regular purple is too light. Maroon. Too much brown and red. Lavender. Too much pink. Oh well. Take a look at the kit again and listen to it's voice... Centurion. Bronze. Metallic. Shiny. The Bronze paint they have is a bit dull for the main colour but would be a nice accentuate. Go for metallic brown because it has more of the bronze look that I was imagining. Rich. Probably need to prime so the pink under colour doesn't come through. Scanned the other available colours to see if anything else would work... No... Bronze centurion hits me the hardest. Gonna use all metal colours on this bad boy. Weathering on the lance. Sharpen the tip. Extend? No... it'll throw the angles off. The metallic purple would have been nice though. Got me to thinking... My Impulse is in the same colour scheme as another one of my neck ties. Haha I have a tie to match each of my painted Gundams now that I think about it. Strange.
DVD is just some promo stuff. Talking about some 00 kits and a recap of all of Season 1. Great quality though. Starting to think that the 00 Blu-ray DVD's might be a good investment.
Lots of stickers in the box. But I'm not going to use any of them this time. The type of stickers that cover entire pieces to make it look like a different colour. Useless for me.
Feh... I went there looking for MGIJ but came away with this. AND I'm still working on the G04. AND I still have 4 Seed HG's to build. But I am saving those for when I get an airbrush. I'd like to build them at least though. That's kind of the fun part for me. Oh well... no rush. I have time. 609-T is becoming my priority.
With the 609-T I'm going to be doing the WIP here. So... Project: Bronze Centurion - 609-T GN-X III aka JINX. 開始/START

GNR-001D GN Arms Type-D
I prefer this GN Arms to the Type-E for some reason. Type E is cool but this one just seems more powerful. Could be those massive guns. I also like how the cloaked Dynames looks in it too. Curioucs to see if the other 00 suits have GN Arms upgrades as well. Saw this kit done up and it looks nice but the Type E stole all the thunder already though obviously. Not bad but not for me. For hard core Dynames fans only.

00 Gundam
Well here it is finally. Double GN Drives on the shoulders. The waist seems especially thin to me. Guess I'd have to see it in action before I can say concretely if I like it or not. First impression is that it's cool but pretty standard. Take the GN Drives off and you're left with a relatively plain mech. The GN 'Spike' look on the shoulders is nice though.
Impulse update. Flight pack is assembled. I've put it on display in my room because from a distance it looks great, but when you get close and take a look at the details you'll notice a lot of things wrong. Taking a bit of a break right now. Sorry no pics until it's 100% completed. Right now I'm pretty impressed. MUCH thinner than the OYW RX-78-2 but a bit taller. UC and CE designs really are quite different aren't they!

Miyuki Uehara's 1/100 Astraea
So... back onto the topic of women and Gundam modelling.
I did some research into who this women is and couldn't find much. Just some of her previous work. And it's really good. Take a look.
RX-78-2 GUNDAM
RX-78-2 GUNDAM ver.ka
MS-06W ZAKU WORKER
RB-79 BALL
She's a professional modeller and works for Hobby Japan. As it turns out I've actually seen a lot of her work before. This months Hobby Japan cover is her MG Impulse. Issue 2's cover was her Unicorn.
After looking at her stuff I realized that I like her style a lot. She doesn't go for flash or glitz. Upgrades and modifications are minimal and alterations to the paint scheme are extremely slight. She goes for clean lines and simplicity. Trying the make the model easily recognizable.
I like her style but I'd prefer a more creative approach. haha that's just me though. I want to see colour schemes I've never seen before!
I got to thinking about what it would take to influence a girl so much that she'd want to take this up as a job. It reminded me of the time a couple of weeks ago when I saw a women driving the subway train for the first time in my life. She had a uniform just like everyone else but it was pink. She was young and pretty. She didn't look like a tomboy to me but I suppose to drive trains you kinda have to be to a certain extent right?
I wanted to tell her how proud of her I was. And that I thought that she was setting a great example for women. I didn't. She looked busy and I wasn't sure I could say it the way I wanted to.
I'm proud of these women that step outside of their conventional gender roles. Penetrating a field dominated by men can't be easy. They must have to deal with so much bull **** sometimes.
Oh well. I'll salute them this way. By spreading one Japanese woman's work to an English speaking audience. Here's your not-so-silent tribute.
Perhaps this is something that I shouldn't even be surprised at... but we can't say that we live in a world where sex and race don't matter at all. I mean just look at what's been happening in American politics this year.
Impulse update: The Core-fighter is now 100% completed. It's SO advanced compared to the RX-78 one. And... I recieved something in the mail from Bandai Japan today. It made me very happy.

GNW-001 Gundam Throne Eins
Saw this model around a couple of places and it looks pretty good. Especially when the cannon is fully extended. The Thrones seem to be growing on me. I didn't really like them much at first but... now I'm starting to appreciate their... uniqueness. There was actually a lot of stuff from April's Dengeki Hobby that I didn't show you lot and this is one of them. Black metallic paint job on this bad boy would look awesome I think. As usual, more at my flickr.
