Gundam 00 'A Wakening Of The Trailblazer' - Full Movie Video

Props to G.G. for this post.  Who in turn thanks someone named Seighart.  Thank you too whoever you are!

I haven't watched the whole movie but I did confirm that the link was good and that the file/video wasn't crap.  Decently quality, no subs.  Under 400 mb if you decide to download it to your computer.

Take a look while it's still up!

GNX-Y903 Brave

I guess this is the ultimate form of all of the Graham's suits combined? This is the next thing I want to get your opinion on. Feeling it or not? I can't say that I am. A bit too... sharp for me. I liked the Flag but the Susanowo/Masurao never really grew on me. Granted the arms folded across the chest pose is really cool but that would be cool on ANY MS. I know that we don't know its abilities yet so we can't comment on that but just aesthetically... what do you think?
Dammit you know I was really hoping for something a bit better than this for Graham. Like more of an Arios type of MS. Oh well.

Gundam 00 Movie Preview

Only 2 comments about this.

1. New Kyrios (or whatever it's name is now) looks friggin amazing.

2. (and this really is the most important point)

FLAG FIGHTERS FOR LIFE!!!

Flags are back! AND Graham is back in a Flag!!! About god damned time! Maybe now he'll be remembered as the awesome pilot that he truly was before the BUTCHERING he received in Season 2. And that's seriously the nicest way I can put it. Flags look a bit different now though. The transformation sequence looks a bit better then the original Flag imo. Happy this is coming out but to be honest the Unicorn OVA's are more of a priority now. I can't barely even remember the messed up 00 storyline anymore. Still though, I'm sure it will be good.

Flag Fighters for Life - 3

Part 2 is here. Thanks Gundam Guy. After the butchering these mechs recieved in Season 2 of Gundam 00, it's up to guys like us to show people how glorious they really are! If someone can post the source for this please do so. I forgot.

Wait! What? What's Kaori doing there?! hehe

GN-X Gundam

Personally I think this was one of the best things to come out of this months Hobby Japan. I think this thing is insane! I love it! I like the GN-X design in general (all of them) but this one takes the cake by far in my opinion.

I like the thicker legs with the GN-X feet and I like the addition of the Gundam head as well. The level of detail and creativity in this kit is truly awe inspiring! We should all take notes! So do yourself a favour and check out the other pics of this masterpiece at my flickr. You'll have a better appreciation of plamo because of it, I'm sure.

GNX-704T/AC Mr. Bushido's Ahead

I'm not impressed with this thing. It's ugly. Personally I think it's a very effective suit but I think the two custom Ahead's that they made are eyesores. Ouch. I don't think this suit is going to be around long though. I'm pretty sure Mr. Bushido is going to get a MUCH cooler suit very soon. And since we're on the topc... I LOVE Mr. Bushido. A lot of people don't like him but I think he's friggin' awesome. I love how extreme he is and how he only cares about fighting honourably, even if it means walking away until your opponent can fight properly. He needs a suit worthy of him (flag *cough cough*). This is not it.

While not exactly cutting edge news, that's my two cents on this piece of junk.

GN-XXX Gundam Rasiel - Box art

Just a couple of scans of the box art. I really liked the design. Simple. I actually like the model quite a bit. I'm definitely going to mod it. Bought some accesories for it today actually.

I think it sold out on the day of it's release because there were only a few left when I got there and I think that was the day it was released. Anyway here's a scan from this months Hobby Japan. I didn't go for the front page spread because I wanted to show a mix of things; the modding, the weapons, the colour changes and some of the poses. I had a chance to play with this at the Gundam Bar a couple of days ago and I liked it. I certainly like it more than Dynames but... still it's not really my thing. Arios on the other hand... That looks really sweet. I love it's head! But more on that later.

SVMS-010 Over Flag High Maneuver Package

Definitely starting here. I loved the Flag, loved the Custom Flag, loved the Over Flag, the GN Flag was sweet and NOW we get this! The High Maneuver Package is just a conversation so it’s a totally custom job but doesn’t it look sweet? It would be awesome if there was a resin or upgrade kit for this somewhere. But there’s a lot more going on here than just the backpack. The lower legs and arms have been beefed up a bit. More details have been added along with some extra decals. Kits used to make this were FG Kyrios, Collection Series Destiny Gundam, HG Sandrock and HG Blaze Zaku Phantom. Intentionally over-sized scan so you can see the details. More on this kit to come.

GN-X III - Seam lines and sanding

OK here are some pics of the puttying and sanding process. Only these 8 parts. The sanding worked well. Got the surface really smooth and filled in a lot of the tiny little cracks and grooves that I couldnt' see with my own eyes. The areas close to seam itself are always a bit off so it's good to use this type of putty if you want everything to be even.

I've decided that I'm going to prime it. I forgot that priming is also useful for when you want to test the surface to see if the paint's going to go on evenly. I did that with my G04, found that my putty job was sub par after priming and did it again.

HG 1/144 - GN-X III 609-T A-Laws Type

Just released at my local shop... and I couldn't turn it down. Hell my lunch cost more than this!

This is about as modern as it gets. They just showed the suit for the first time last week.

So I bought it and realized that I get a 30% discount plus 10% points on my card and a free DVD that I didn't even realize I had until I got home and emptied the bag. As I was leaving I was thinking of what colour to paint it. Going down the escalator I looked at my tie and thought... yes... that's it. Metallic Purple! Go back up to the paint section... no metallic purple. Regular purple is too light. Maroon. Too much brown and red. Lavender. Too much pink. Oh well. Take a look at the kit again and listen to it's voice... Centurion. Bronze. Metallic. Shiny. The Bronze paint they have is a bit dull for the main colour but would be a nice accentuate. Go for metallic brown because it has more of the bronze look that I was imagining. Rich. Probably need to prime so the pink under colour doesn't come through. Scanned the other available colours to see if anything else would work... No... Bronze centurion hits me the hardest. Gonna use all metal colours on this bad boy. Weathering on the lance. Sharpen the tip. Extend? No... it'll throw the angles off. The metallic purple would have been nice though. Got me to thinking... My Impulse is in the same colour scheme as another one of my neck ties. Haha I have a tie to match each of my painted Gundams now that I think about it. Strange.

DVD is just some promo stuff. Talking about some 00 kits and a recap of all of Season 1. Great quality though. Starting to think that the 00 Blu-ray DVD's might be a good investment.

Lots of stickers in the box. But I'm not going to use any of them this time. The type of stickers that cover entire pieces to make it look like a different colour. Useless for me.

Feh... I went there looking for MGIJ but came away with this. AND I'm still working on the G04. AND I still have 4 Seed HG's to build. But I am saving those for when I get an airbrush. I'd like to build them at least though. That's kind of the fun part for me. Oh well... no rush. I have time. 609-T is becoming my priority.

With the 609-T I'm going to be doing the WIP here. So... Project: Bronze Centurion - 609-T GN-X III aka JINX. 開始/START

GNR-001D GN Arms Type-D

I prefer this GN Arms to the Type-E for some reason. Type E is cool but this one just seems more powerful. Could be those massive guns. I also like how the cloaked Dynames looks in it too. Curioucs to see if the other 00 suits have GN Arms upgrades as well. Saw this kit done up and it looks nice but the Type E stole all the thunder already though obviously. Not bad but not for me. For hard core Dynames fans only.

HG 1/144 GN-0000 - 00 Gundam

Season 2 of Gundam 00 will be coming out soon and to whet everyone's appetites for that they've released this bad boy. GN-0000 - 00Gundam. Is that enough 0's for you? I have to admit from looking atthis thing... I was really impressed. I'm sure this one is going tosell well. It's a very high quality HG imo. I was actually thinking of buying it right there just because it looked that good and the price was cheap but I'm holding off. Gotta show some restraint because it's not where my heart is at. It'd be nice to have but time right? I have more money than time it seems. What an odd place to be. That said I'm looking forward to seeing what the modellers out there are going to do with this thing.

First impression is that it's cool but pretty standard. Take the GN Drives off and you're left with a relatively plain mech. The GN 'Spike' look on the shoulders is nice though.

Impulse update. Flight pack is assembled. I've put it on display in my room because from a distance it looks great, but when you get close and take a look at the details you'll notice a lot of things wrong. Taking a bit of a break right now. Sorry no pics until it's 100% completed. Right now I'm pretty impressed. MUCH thinner than the OYW RX-78-2 but a bit taller. UC and CE designs really are quite different aren't they!

RX-78-2 GUNDAM ver.ka
MS-06W ZAKU WORKER

She's a professional modeller and works for Hobby Japan. As it turns out I've actually seen a lot of her work before. This months Hobby Japan cover is her MG Impulse. Issue 2's cover was her Unicorn.

After looking at her stuff I realized that I like her style a lot. She doesn't go for flash or glitz. Upgrades and modifications are minimal and alterations to the paint scheme are extremely slight. She goes for clean lines and simplicity. Trying the make the model easily recognizable.

I like her style but I'd prefer a more creative approach. haha that's just me though. I want to see colour schemes I've never seen before!

I got to thinking about what it would take to influence a girl so much that she'd want to take this up as a job. It reminded me of the time a couple of weeks ago when I saw a women driving the subway train for the first time in my life. She had a uniform just like everyone else but it was pink. She was young and pretty. She didn't look like a tomboy to me but I suppose to drive trains you kinda have to be to a certain extent right?

I wanted to tell her how proud of her I was. And that I thought that she was setting a great example for women. I didn't. She looked busy and I wasn't sure I could say it the way I wanted to.

I'm proud of these women that step outside of their conventional gender roles. Penetrating a field dominated by men can't be easy. They must have to deal with so much bull **** sometimes.

Oh well. I'll salute them this way. By spreading one Japanese woman's work to an English speaking audience. Here's your not-so-silent tribute.

Perhaps this is something that I shouldn't even be surprised at... but we can't say that we live in a world where sex and race don't matter at all. I mean just look at what's been happening in American politics this year.

Impulse update: The Core-fighter is now 100% completed. It's SO advanced compared to the RX-78 one. And... I recieved something in the mail from Bandai Japan today. It made me very happy.

As usual, more at my flickr.

1/144 O Gundam

I found it.

Limited Edition GN-000 - 0 Gundam. As of right now you can only get this Gundam by ordering it from Bandai directly (with 2 proofs of purchase of FG kits + 500 yen money order). The diorama they had set up (Yodabashi Camera in Akihabara) had the O Gundam hovering over the other 4. Only the O was painted. The shadowing made it look SO nice... I mean... truly majestic, especially in contrast to the other 4 which were just lined. It'll make a lovely figure for those lucky enough to get their hands on it. I'm thinking about going through the process to get one. I can justify it because it's a limited edition model (and it really made a strong impression on me). There's a Gundam Fair coming up at the end of this week in my city and I'm thinking of checking that out first before making any moves. Either way I've got until the end of May to get it.
