Delta Plus / Delta Gundam

I love the Delta Plus... but I love the Delta Gundam more. Actually the original reason why I wanted to buy the Delta Plus was just so that I could make the Delta Gundam. I was sure that I wasn't the only person that had that idea and sure enough other modelers did end up making it... but it wasn't as abundant as I thought it'd be. I thought a lot of people would be going for this mod but as it turns out not many did. Looking at what the modeler below did I can kind of see why. It's not really that easy. Comparatively it is because you're making a more complex design simpler but there are a couple of things that have to be almost completely redesigned (the shield for one).

I like the Delta Gundam more than the Delta Plus because of the colour and the simpler design. It's a shame the suit wasn't fit for use during the AEUG/Titan's conflict. It would have made a great suit for Quattro to pilot but he would have stolen the show from Camille and they'd have had to call it Delta Gundam instead of Zeta.

This begs the question... what on earth would a Double Delta Gundam look like?

It's not pictured here in wave rider mode but it looks cool.  Very cool in my opinion.

MG Rezel + HG Delta Plus

*Cue tears of joy mixed with misery*

Every time I think I'm out... they pull me back in again. I'll never be free. MG Rezel... wow I never expected that... with complete transformation mechanism... oh... *drooling* HG Delta Plus though... Could it possibly be made into a MG?  I still think there's a high chance of that...
I'm even thinking of getting the HG Sinanju... just because why the f not? Can someone tell me why not? Please tell me why not...

This suit also made quite an impression on me. It reminded me so much of what I liked about the Hyaku Shiki. The feeling of speed and lightness. The exposed leg frame. The pipes and tubes. The wing binders. I like the grey as well. The monochrome scheme suits the design I think. Or is that just my personal preference talking again? Well take a look at this silver custom Hyaku Shiki "Cannon".

Unfortunately this Delta Plus model doesn't transform because I’d love to see it in “wave rider" mode. It’s like a combination of the Zeta and Hyaku Shiki. If there’s one thing that I'll always love about Zeta Gundam it’s that it was the series that brought us the MSN series of suits. Another one of my favourites but I have to withhold my judgement on this suit until I see it in wave rider mode. From what I understand the Hyaku Shiki was supposed to be THIS suit but couldn't be developed at the time do to the weak frame so they just made it into the non transforming Hyaku Shiki. The project was re-opened later and about 10 years after the Hyaku Shiki the Delta Plus was finally realized but had trouble being placed in squadrons due to its uniqueness. It’s a prototype for mass production purposes so I think there are a couple of these suits floating around. Maybe 4. Don't quote me on that though.
