Opinions?
Personally... As soon at they release a 1/144 version of this kit I'm all over it. F*** my backlog. I LOVE this thing! If Gundam's were made after the image of samurai this was definitely made after the image of ninja. Easily one of my favourite Zeon MS designs.
Na, the shoulder spikes and head don't do it for me :) I've got other ideas!

I think the main draw of the Nacht for me is the color scheme. If it was blue or green, i probably wouldn't think much about it. But this dark purple simply makes it look dark & evil. I like it.

I have no doubt that this will be a 1/144 release. And just like you BB, I am all over it too.

ReplyDeleteYes! Great design. Head, shoulder spikes, and skirt armour are real nice. Not sure about those forearms or leg daggers though. Katana style blade and medieval style blades aren't a match for me.
ReplyDeleteRegardless of this it is still bad ass. The UC0096 Mono eyes will be hard to top.

The straight blade is supposed to be a ninja-tou which is rather amusing because such a blade wasn't used by ninja. That straight blade single edge weapon dates back to the heian period where they hadn't yet developed the technique to get the curve on the blade.

ReplyDeleteG.G. - yeah i hear you. the purple makes the suit in some ways. i did think the kunai were a bit out of place, however cool they look. and wheres the rifle?!
tonzo - not sure but your response sounds like you think this is a uc0096 suit but its actually a uc 0081 suit from the gundam senki game.
gai gun - i did not know that! the straight blades are always associated with ninjas but its actually historically inaccurate. thats a shame! i kind of liked the idea.
also that link you posted looks really cool but a bit expensive for me i think. it'll be nice to see some more ifreet models out there tho, even if they're conversions.
